Using my saturday afternoons for cycling i decided to have my favourite cuisine, Indian! I looked for top places within an hour i so i went. Upon arrival i was a bit set back as the tables inside were so prestine, clean and well posh to be honest. I didnt think they would be ok with me coming in my sportswear and whatnot, but they were more than welcoming.
Upon having a seat i was offered snacks while waiting, tasted great, hand made im sure, sadly name was quit difficult for me to remember, but it was the ultra light naan with garnishes. Ordered myself a non alcoholic cocktail with superb rich tastes and waaater.
I always ask for a vindaloo, but to be sure if they knew their stuff i asked if they did phal, which they did, but it was more of a check to what they consider spicy.
Lamb vindaloo with garlic naans was my choice and boy did they not disappoint! I licked my plate and fingers clean, i was so stuffed i couldnt move, but i traveled all this way to find this wonderful place i couldnt resist.... I needed... Ice cream! Of which they had a whole separate menu of desserts, i of course chose Kulfi. They had two flavours, mango and pistachio, as i knew i wont come any time soon ( as i eat good food till i get sick ) i chose both haha. They were the bomb! Mango felt like creamy butter, while pistachio was sorbet style.
I finished the uhm... Meal with a double espresso.
As i was asking for my bill i was starting to remove 50 quid from my wallet hoping it will be enough to tip. After seeing only 38 quid for a two person dinner i was shocked and as i had the money out anyway, left them the 12quid tip, as all of the people there were absolutely worth it!
Will bring a crew of curry lovers next...
Read moreI recently visited Mountain View Restaurant in Greenwich with a group of friends, and we had an amazing dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff, especially the owner, was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our visit.
We ordered a variety of dishes including Green Salad, Palak Paneer, Vegetable Naga, Paneer Makhni, Hariyo Kurilo, King Prawn Jalfrezi, and the Tandoori Chicken Sizzler. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared. The combination of roti, butter naan, garlic naan, cheese naan, and peshwari naan perfectly complemented the rich curries. Each item had its own unique taste and was served hot and fresh.
We also enjoyed some drinks and were pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary sweets and drinks, which was a thoughtful gesture and added a special touch to the evening.
The food was excellent, the ambiance was cozy, and the service exceeded our expectations. The restaurant had a good crowd but still felt comfortable. I also appreciated the attention to detail in the presentation of dishes.
I would definitely recommend Mountain View Greenwich to anyone looking for authentic, delicious food with a friendly vibe. I also took some photos of our dishes and the menu, which I’ll be sharing to give others an idea of...

The food was good but the service was terrible… they first delayed taking our order and even after the food arrived and we were done with it ….. we had to wait 15-20 minutes for our bill…. The owner was going to every table and greeting the customers and giving them bill and taking payment but just with us because we looked like Asians he completely ignored us and didn’t even bother looking…. We had to go to counter ourselves to pay bills still the waiter asked us to go back to our table and when he brought the bill it was another 10 mins to bring the card machine…and the waiter mentioned my boss brings the bill and takes payment … the boss was wearing maroon coat and traditional clothes and just because we looked like Asians though even he is an Asian he didnt want to even approach us and was focusing on all the other guest...
