London Canary Wharf | Crazy Eating | Turkish Cuisine
(1-minute walk from the DLR station, 10-minute walk from the tube station) The Turkish restaurant where my friends and I ate twice in one week 🍴 I’d call it the number one in London ☝️ (if you disagree, please recommend another) 👩🍳 The chef is Turkish (the food is super authentic! Certified by me, who lived in Turkey for a few months, blind ordering with no misses) 🍞 The bread as an appetizer really matters! I always believe: a restaurant that pays attention to the small dishes, the main course will definitely not be bad (this logic also applies to bread, kimchi, salad 🥗 at various restaurants) Their bread has a semi-yeasted texture that reminds me of northern “mo” and Italian “focaccia”! But it also resembles the dreamy Xi’an barbecue bread, freshly baked, steaming hot, with a hint of bell pepper and cumin aroma, paired with chili sauce and cucumber cheese sauce, what a delicious global fusion appetizer! Hummus, lentil soup, and mixed grilled meats 🍖 just eat it! You’ll be silently impressed (I highly recommend the grilled lamb, the Kofta is less flavorful! These dishes are very filling!) 🦐 The Karadies is a bit like Tapas’ Gambas al Ajillo, but with a more prominent mixed spice flavor! The baked shrimp is fresh, large, and bouncy! The sauce with bread is also amazing~ #Let’sEatManyMealsTogether #LondonDiningOut #CanaryWharfFood #LondonTurkishCuisine #LondonFoodExploration
