London Food | A Hidden 4.4-Star Authentic Tapas Spot Under the Bridge

On the way to Borough Market, I spotted a Spanish restaurant under the bridge, so unique! I checked Google Maps and saw it had over a thousand positive reviews with a score of 4.4!! I made a mental note to definitely come and try it out… Stepping into the arched dining space, warm lighting bathed the vintage wooden tables and chairs, with the waitstaff and chefs communicating in Spanish. It instantly gave me the feeling of being transported to an authentic Spanish taberna—romantic and full of atmosphere ☺️✨ The entire dining experience, from the environment to the dishes, was supremely satisfying: Appetisers Recommendations: 🥔 Croquetas Possibly even better than the ones we had in 🇪🇸!! The golden, crispy exterior encases a smooth cream and ham filling, a perfect blend of milky and savory flavors that melts in the mouth. Padron Peppers and Pan con tomate were highly recommended by the waiter, quite authentic and similar to what we’ve had in Spain 😋 but not as stunning as the Croquetas! Worth a try if there are several of you~ Tapas Recommendations: 🐙 Grilled Octopus Leg (A must-order!!) The octopus leg was truly amazing! The exterior was charred with a subtle barbecue flavor, yet the meat was incredibly tender. Paired with the rich Romesco sauce and the zesty aroma of grilled lemon, the dish had a wonderfully layered flavor. One bite reveals a multitude of textures and aromas, super satisfying!! Meat Tapas Recommendations: 🥩 Secreto Iberico & Mojo Potatoes (A must-order!!) I’ve heard that the Secreto cut of Iberian pork is a “hidden treasure,” and it did not disappoint. The exterior was super crispy, and the meat was tender and juicy, even better than steak🥹! The Mojo potatoes were also delicious, especially with their slightly crispy exterior. This dish was our favorite; you must try it!! We also ordered the ribeye and foie gras recommended by many, but the steak was a bit tough for our taste. Pork was yummier!! The atmosphere of this restaurant is just too awesome ☺️✨ The tapas we ordered were all very authentic and delicious.
