London Foodie Spot | Sticks’n’Sushi | Japanese Yakitori and Sushi
This place is all about Japanese sushi and charcoal-grilled skewers, with a fantastic atmosphere and exquisite presentation. I ordered the vegetarian set this time, and the overall experience was a delightful surprise, especially the skewers—they exceeded my expectations! I definitely need to try the non-vegetarian version next time. The vegetarian set included: 🥑 Avocado and Crispy Lotus Root Crispy fried lotus root slices paired with creamy avocado puree. The contrast in textures makes this appetizer really interesting. It’s refreshing and layered, perfect for those who enjoy light flavors! 🥗 🥗 Seaweed Salad A classic Japanese flavor, with tender and bouncy seaweed, crisp cucumber, and the nutty aroma of sesame seeds. The dressing is perfectly balanced, sweet and tangy, making it super refreshing! 🍲 🍄 Fried Oyster Mushrooms I loved this dish! The exterior is golden and crispy, while the inside is tender and juicy. It doesn’t feel bland at all—each bite feels like chicken! The slight spiciness of the mayo takes it to another level. 🍛 🍣 Sushi Platter The platter included tofu skin sushi, bell pepper sushi, and eggplant sushi. I’m not a big fan of bell pepper or eggplant, so I didn’t get to try those. 🍣 🍡 Grilled Skewers My favorite part of the meal! The vegetarian meat skewers are super dense and flavorful, with a rich charred aroma from the grill. They’re just as good as real meat skewers, with perfectly balanced sweet and savory sauce. The grilled sweet potato skewers are soft, sweet, and slightly caramelized on the outside—a perfect match with the sauce! 🍖 💷 Average Spend: £30-40 #LondonExplore #LondonFood #FoodShare #LondonRecommendations #JapaneseInLondon #MustTryInLondon #UK #RestaurantRecommendation
