Long Beach, LA One Michelin Star – Heritage

California Farmhouse-Style Seafood 🍽️🌾 Vibe, setting, service, dishes, value for money… A comfortably enjoyable tasting menu experience—though the desserts fell a bit flat. Still, definitely worth trying! 👍 ••••• Crème Caviar 【Caviar Ice Cream】 Olive oil chive Heritage caviar Right from the start, a delightful surprise! Ice cream rich and creamy like butter, smoothed with a touch of olive oil—silky and delicate on the palate. The crisp chives meet the popping texture of the caviar—savory and balanced, with a hint of sweetness. A flavor worth savoring again and again! 🍨⚡ ••••• Kanpachi Crudo 【Kanpachi Sashimi】 Grilled farm peas | wood sorrel The fish was served at a good temperature. While not top-tier, it was acceptable—though slightly fibrous and lacking in natural sweetness. The peas were perfectly cooked—crisp and refreshing, lightly seasoned to keep their fresh character. But!! The sauce was way too salty… completely overpowered everything else. Could only appreciate the varying textures of the ingredients. 🐟🧂 ••••• Wild Porcini Mushrooms 【Pan-Seared Porcini】 Sunchoke stew | pickled porcini The porcini mushrooms were average in texture and flavor, but the use of sunchokes was brilliant! Fried sunchoke strips: crispy and fragrant. Paired with a creamy, whipped sunchoke soup—lightly aerated for a smooth yet airy texture, seasoned with a subtle sweet-salty balance. 🍄✨ ••••• Grilled Diver Scallop 【Grilled Scallop (Hand-Dived)】 Jamón mussels mustard greens The scallop was sweet and fresh—lightly charred outside, tender and soft inside. Perfectly cooked… if it weren’t for the excessive salt, it would’ve been flawless! The jamón was lean, chewy, savory, and not greasy. The mussels were tender too, though lacking a bit in briny flavor. Unexpectedly, the sauce leaned acidic—a surprise, but it didn’t steal the spotlight. 🔥🍋 • 2032 E 7th St, Long Beach, CA 90804 Have you been to Heritage?
