🌊 Long Beach Classic Attractions Guide | How to Spend a Weekend Right
Flew to Long Beach, CA for the weekend! Since it’s close to LA, it can get pretty busy. Sharing my 3-day, 2-night itinerary + experiences to help you plan—what to try and what to skip! 💃 🏨 Hyatt Regency Long Beach Great facilities, friendly service, and within a 10-minute walk to major attractions. Lots of restaurants nearby. Hyatt Elite members may get room upgrades! 🍴 Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. 🦞 A chain seafood restaurant. The shrimp dishes are decent, but the rest is just okay. You’ll appreciate it more if you’re a fan of the Forrest Gump movie—lots of inside jokes otherwise! 🤔 🐟 Aquarium of the Pacific Not huge, but tickets are over $40 😅. Features sea lion and diver shows—ideal for families with kids. Can be explored in under 2 hours. 🚢 The Queen Mary A historic star ocean liner—basically a floating museum. Perfect for military history and architecture enthusiasts. Offers themed tours—we chose the classic "Glory Days" and learned a lot! ✌️ 🏠 Shoreline Village A colorful coastal town with restaurants and shops. Also has ice cream 🍦 and chocolate spots. Quite commercial—no need to go out of your way, but couples can check out the love lock bridge. Restaurants like Yard House and Parker’s Lighthouse have good reviews! 👍 ⛲️ Shoreline Aquatic Park A small but beautiful lighthouse park near the aquarium. Many whale-watching tours depart from nearby Rainbow Harbor. 🍴 King’s Fish House A must-try for seafood lovers! Located in downtown, this retro American restaurant offers generous portions and fresh dishes. Their cocktails are great too—worth revisiting! For Spanish cuisine, try Cafe Sevilla. 🇪🇸 🍴 Gladstone’s Long Beach A seafood restaurant at Rainbow Harbor. Only the Thai Calamari was good—the main courses were mediocre, and service was just okay 😅. Hope this helps everyone have a fantastic time! 🥳 #NorthAmericanLife #LATravel #LongBeach #LALife #CaliforniaLife #CaliforniaTravel #DailyUSA #WeekendPlog
