This spot is called Bao Master, located in Alhambra. Folks β we finally have a Xiaolongbao contender that rivals Shanghaiβs famous Leilai Dumplings! We walked in and saw the owner working at a table nearby. Chatted briefly β heβs from Shanghai and told us their chefs are former Shanghai Hilton executive chefs & Michelin-trained masters π©βπ³. No wonder itβs so good! The owner was super kind too β said if anything wasnβt tasty, just let them know so they can improve. Great first impression β even though this is their first location, weβre sure theyβll expand across LA soon! π₯’ Black Pork Xiaolongbao Took me right back to top-tier dumplings in China. The wrapper is thin, the filling melts in your mouth β truly rivals the best weβve had in Shanghai (like Leilai Dumplings). πππππ π¦ Jumbo Crab & Pork Soup Dumpling Only one per order, but worth it. First, sip the broth through the straw (so satisfying!), then savor the rich crab flavor. πππππ π Crab Roe Scallion Oil Noodles The ultimate scallion oil noodles β both noodles and toppings are top-tier. Just order it, no hesitation needed. πππππ π’ Lamb Skewers Pretty standard β nothing special, but not bad either. They specialize in dumplings and noodles, so itβs understandable. ππππ π₯ Wagyu Shengjianbao (Pan-Fried Buns) Even though we were almost full, these were still incredible. Crispy bottom, rich broth inside, premium beef β everything in perfect harmony. π― πππππ Overall, highly recommended β and the value is amazing!
