Los Angeles|A Cozy Seaside Bistro 🍷🌊
It’s been a while since I moved to California, and I always imagined it would feel like summer year-round. But November surprised me—I found myself bundled up in a coat, bracing the crisp, chilly air. ❄️🧥 Just before the bioluminescent algae season faded, I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the magical “blue tears” glow, and stumbled upon this warm, cabin-like Italian bistro— 📍 Market Venice 🌟 Persimmon Toast Topped with Thai-inspired slightly tangy ricotta and drizzled with truffle honey. Only downside: the persimmons were a bit underripe—missing that sweet, soft touch. 🌟 Beef Tartare Served with crispy, charred potato chips—so good we ordered another plate! 🤌 🌟 Spaghetti Tossed with fresh egg yolk and Pecorino, coating every strand of spinach pasta in rich creaminess. Mixed with pork cheek that had a Cantonese-style cured meat flavor—another dish we had to order more of! 🍝 🌟 Cheesecake The filling was a rich, semi-solid yogurt-like cream—incredibly smooth and moist. Drizzled with wild honey 🍯 for a delicate sweetness that balanced perfectly. Honestly, one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever tasted! Have you been to Market Venice or another cozy spot by the sea?
