Los Angeles｜A Serene Pink Swan Lake Hotel 🦢🎀

Hotel Bel-Air — a Michelin Three-Key hotel under the Dorchester Collection, nestled in the lush greenery of Bel-Air. Tucked away from the city noise yet close to Beverly Hills and Sunset Blvd, it preserves that elegant Old Hollywood charm — soft pink Mediterranean-style architecture, quiet garden paths, and a serene swan lake, evoking the modern romance of a golden era. I decided on this LA trip last-minute and booked a Deluxe Suite via Ctrip for around ¥12,000 RMB per night. Originally booked for three nights, but arriving at 3 AM, the hotel kindly upgraded me to a suite with a private outdoor balcony! The room felt freshly renovated — no outdated vibes, especially the bathroom, which was spotless with clearly redone tiling. I checked in at night and didn’t realize until morning — the bathroom has a skylight ☀️ letting in beautiful natural light, perfect for doing makeup 💄 The living area was spacious, and since I missed their call on the flight, the staff had thoughtfully opened the sofa bed just in case. The bedroom was cozy and comfortable — no cramped feeling. ⚠️ Sadly, every time I visit California, it seems to rain heavily — this time was no exception 💦 The hotel garden’s drainage wasn’t strong enough, leaving muddy puddles in the morning. Couldn’t really walk outside until noon when everything was cleaned up. Even after the rain, the garden was lovely — swans 🦢 were adorable, and the hydrangeas and bougainvillea were in full bloom 💕 Service in the restaurant was attentive — our server warned us the truffle pasta looked oilier than usual and said to let them know if it wasn’t right. It was indeed too oily, so we mentioned it, and they replaced it promptly with another pasta recommendation.
