Los Angeles|A Valley Bathed in Starlight and Dawn 🌟🌄

📍 Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels 555 W Temple St, Los Angeles ⏰ Hours: Mon–Fri 6:30 AM–6 PM Sat 9 AM–6 PM Sun 7 AM–6 PM Nestled in downtown LA near the Disney Concert Hall, this cathedral—designed by Spanish architect Rafael Moneo—stands with minimalist, fortress-like lines on the outside. But step inside, and you’re transported: natural light pours through skylights and windows, blending with artificial starlit lighting to create a dreamy atmosphere—like standing in a valley at the magical moment between night and dawn. ✨🕊️ Even if you’re not religious (like me!), sitting in the main hall evokes a deep sense of wonder. It reminded me of Louis Kahn’s famous quote: “The sun never knew how great it was until it hit the side of a building.” ☀️🏛️ Have you visited this cathedral or another architectural gem in LA that plays with light and space? What’s your favorite place for quiet reflection or stunning photography?
