Los Angeles|OMG It Was So Good... Why Did It Close So Soon? 😭
Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura I just ate here — and while writing this, I found out it’s already closed 💔 I really liked the Florence and Tokyo locations of Gucci Osteria, but after a disappointing experience at Osteria Francescana in Italy with my friend offmenu, I kept warning my partner this might be a letdown… especially with a Google rating of just 3.8. But surprise — it was delicious! 🥟 Tortellini A signature dish — you can split one order. The photo shows half a portion. Handmade wrappers are super thin and tiny, filled with pork, paired with a silky sauce of Parmigiano Reggiano + broth emulsion (no cream) — rich, smooth, and incredibly tasty. 🍚 Risotto Camouflaged as Pizza A risotto re‑imagined as Margherita pizza 🍕 The rice is cooked in mozzarella water, each grain soaked with creamy flavor, topped with concentrated sun‑dried tomato tang and charred caper powder to mimic burnt crust — genius touch. 🐂 Beef Carpaccio Tonnato Tender beef with a balanced tuna‑mayo sauce — simple, solid, and satisfying. 🍝 Spaghetto al Pesto di Santa Barbara I can’t eat pistachios, so I only tried a bite of the Santa Barbara uni — sweet and nice. The pasta wasn’t as green 💚 as the Florence version, but my partner said it had great chew, and the overall seasoning was on point. 🍔 Emilia Burger An LA‑exclusive — I ordered the mini me version. Essentially a really tasty burger — no complaints! If you didn’t know what to eat, this was a great choice — open for lunch too, and the whole meal came to just $150+ per person. Such a shame it closed… #Food #LosAngeles #LADining #LAFood #Michelin #GucciOsteria #RodeoDrive #LATravel 🍽️
