Los Angeles|Super Hard-to-Book Cozy Italian Bistro 🇮🇹

I’ve been dreaming about visiting this place for over a year—finally made it! Reservations are basically all about snatching last-minute cancellations! 😅 This time, I decided to show up before they even opened and waited outside to try my luck as a walk-in. Not long after we were seated, the restaurant was completely packed! It’s a small and intimate space, with everyone chatting and drinking together—I absolutely adore the vibe of this Italian bistro! 🇮🇹✨ That said, maybe my expectations were a bit too high? The food, while delicious, didn’t completely blow me away. Still, it was a solid meal! Let me walk you through what we ordered: - 🍞 Garlic Bread The bread was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and soaked with garlic oil on the inside—loaded with herbs you can see as soon as you break it apart. Topped generously with shredded Parmesan cheese! 🧄🧀 🦐 Shrimp Scampi This dish was a standout—the shrimp were plump and juicy! The garlic butter sauce was rich, savory, and full of flavor. We couldn’t resist dipping our bread into that amazing sauce! 😋🍤 🍝 Spaghetti & Clams One of my all-time favorites—a light and refreshing pasta with a bright, tangy sauce. They used Manila clams, which were sweet, tender, and super fresh. A squeeze of lemon and a sip of chilled white wine 🍋🥂 and I was instantly transported to a summer evening by the southern Italian seaside! 🏝️💫 🍗 Chicken Parmesan This was a bit different from what I expected. The chicken itself was tender, but the coating wasn’t as crispy as I’d hoped—it felt a little soggy 🙂↔️ Maybe the frying temperature wasn’t high enough to lock in the crispiness while keeping it juicy. 🍝 Lasagna Rollatini Haven’t had lasagna in a while 🍅 I thought it would come in a huge portion, but it turned out to be pretty mini! The meat sauce was rich and hearty, and the cheese melted perfectly with the tomato sauce. So comforting and delicious when served hot! 🔥🧀 🏠:Donna‘s 📍:1538 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026 Have you been here before? What did you think?
