Los Angeles / 20+ Sushi Courses in Just 1 Hour 🍣⏳

It really was over 20 dishes served continuously in just over an hour—I was so full by the end it hardly felt like a traditional omakase experience. Normally, an 8:30 pm sushi dinner should last 2–3 hours, but here the chef served one dish right after another. About 20+ courses were finished in just 1.5 hours. Overall, the flavor was decent, but the rushed pace really hurt the experience. There was only one main chef with a few assistants, and all dishes were served simultaneously to everyone. If one table finished, the next course came immediately—so fast that I hadn’t even finished my current dish when a server asked, “Can you finish? We’re moving to the next course.” 🏃♂️💨 Felt like fast-food sushi. But yes, you will leave very full. If you’re looking for a slow, immersive omakase experience, this isn’t the place. But if you just want a quick Japanese meal, their regular restaurant outside might be a better, more affordable option. Also, I’d read that the chef is funny and chats with guests, but that night we only heard him speak twice. The room is quite small, so everyone talks very quietly—it felt a bit stifling. 🗣️🤫 No outside alcohol allowed—you have to buy drinks there. 🍶❌ Price per person (including tips): $250 With wine pairing: $300 Restaurant: Nozawa Bar #JapaneseCuisine #LosAngeles #Omakase #Sushi #JapaneseFood #SushiBar #LADining #FoodReview #EatFAST #QuickOmakase #NozawaBar #SushiLovers #DiningExperience #HighPacedMeal
