Los Angeles | dos besos 🥘🇪🇸
A popular Spanish spot in Pasadena! Paella del Mar (Seafood Paella) – $62 Pan con Tomate (Bread rubbed with tomato, olive oil, salt) – $13 Jamón Serrano Redondo Iglesias (24+ month aged Serrano ham) – $26 Setas en Crema de Trufa (Mushrooms in truffle cream) – $21 Gambas al Ajillo (Shrimp in garlic & white wine) – $19 Costillas de Cordero (New Zealand rack of lamb in rosemary sauce) – $50 Rioja Deóbriga Crianza 2018 Selección Familiar – $17 Overall, the flavors were great! My favorite had to be the flavorful, carb-loaded seafood paella 🥘❤️ The tomato-rubbed bread as a starter was delicious – especially with the Serrano ham and a glass of their recommended wine. So comforting! 🍷🍞 The garlic shrimp and truffle cream mushrooms were decent, but not mind-blowing. The almond cake with ice cream was nice, but without the ice cream, it was a bit plain. I really wanted to try the pistachio ricotta cake, but they were out 😢 Still, the dessert menu had other tempting options! Have you been here? What’s your favorite Spanish dish in LA?
