Los Angeles | Silver Lake Japanese Hand Rolls š£ Uni Lovers Rejoice!
While wandering around Silver Lake one evening, we randomly walked into a Japanese spot to satisfy our hungerāand turns out itās the new sister restaurant from the same owner as Temaki Society in DTLA! The vibe here is still minimalist and clean, but the hand roll menu has been expanded with new flavors and creative dishesāeven more choices than the original location! š š Hand Rolls Their uni (sea urchin) hand roll is absolutely top-tierāsweet, creamy, and melts in your mouth! Itās so generously filled, it took me three bites to finish š„¹. We also tried the Banh Mi and Chili Yellowtail rollsāboth fish-forward but distinct. The Banh Mi has that punchy fish sauce and chili kickāsuper appetizing! š¶ļø Also sampled the Hambagu roll (burger meat sushi)āhonestly not my favorite, but worth a try if youāre curious! š Hikari Don When it arrived, I thought the bowl looked smallābut itās incredibly rich and filling! We shared it between two people and were totally satisfied. Packed with bluefin otoro, tuna, sweet shrimp, yellowtail, ikura, and uniāevery bite was sweet, umami, and luxuriously fatty. The sushi rice is perfectly seasonedālight and slightly tangy. You can even ask for nori sheets to wrap your own mini hand rolls! šāØ š Sunset Espresso They have a great cocktail list here! We tried this coffee-infused drinkāso photogenic and tasted like a sweet coffee candy. Not too strong, but super tasty. āšø š Sonmari 3503 W Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026 #LifeInTheStates #LAFoodGuide #SilverLakeEats #LAFoodFinds #JapaneseFoodLA
