Los Angeles | The Stunning One-Michelin-Star ⭐ Maude
Every single dish at Maude, the one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Los Angeles, is absolutely stunning! I’m in love 😍. The presentation is incredibly photogenic 📷, and each dish delivers on flavor—especially if you’re a fan of balanced sweet and sour notes. And the best part? There were a full four dessert courses, plus an array of petit fours and macarons 🥧—a true paradise for someone with a sweet tooth like me! 🍨💕 The meal began with three delightful small snacks that were refreshing and appetite-whetting: a delicate flower-shaped tuna roll, a salmon roe and avocado tart, and a savory fish profiterole—all delicious! 😍 Next came a fascinating lobster 🦞 tartare—the presentation resembled a little lobster-shaped crisp, filled with fresh lobster meat and paired with crisp cucumber 🥒 and a tangy sauce. Then, one of my favorites: uni (sea urchin) topped with luxurious caviar, resting on a light mousse—so rich and sweet, it melted in my mouth. Paired with white wine, it was pure bliss 💗. Another creative dish followed: a chawanmushi (savory egg custard) made with beets—unexpected and delicious, especially with caviar adding depth. Then, possibly the most beautiful abalone I’ve ever seen 🦪, glazed with a sweet-spicy sauce—tender, flavorful, and absolutely perfect 💯. Their signature pretzel bread was also a highlight—chewy, salty, and so satisfying! For the main courses, the first was a Black Cod 🐟—so tender and flavorful, served with chewy ark shell clam and fresh bread 🥖. Incredible 😌. The second main was quail 🐦, served in two parts: first, a cute leg with accompaniments, then a more substantial portion of quail, showered with aromatic black truffle 🖤—so fragrant and elegant! A transitional cheese course came next—creamy, truffle-infused, and wonderfully rich. Finally, the desserts 🍨! We moved to the speakeasy-style bar for this part—so cool 😎. We started with a kumquat and caramel granita to cleanse the palate, followed by a beautiful white chocolate and pistachio dessert with ice cream. The final dessert was a spherical coffee-flavored cake 🍰—not too sweet, utterly addictive, and visually striking 🥰. The meal ended with petit fours: mini cream puffs, chocolates 🍫, and macarons—all exceptional 💖. Everything was exquisite—high quality, beautiful, and great value. A truly happy dining experience—I’ll definitely be back! 😍 Have you ever dined at a Michelin-starred restaurant? What’s the most memorable dish you’ve ever had?
