Los Angeles | Hearst Castle 🏰✨
Perched atop the hills of San Simeon, Hearst Castle is a magnificent estate built by newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst and architect Julia Morgan. Construction began in 1919 and was largely completed by 1947. The property spans over 127 acres and features 165 rooms, two stunning pools, lush gardens, a grand library, a private cinema, tennis courts, and even once housed a private zoo 🦁🌿. The castle was filled with priceless artworks, but due to high inheritance taxes, Hearst’s descendants later donated it to the state of California.
