Los Angeles 📍 Cabrillo Marine Aquarium

🏠 3720 Stephen M White Dr, San Pedro, CA 90731 Located right next to Cabrillo Beach in Los Angeles, this aquarium offers free admission—no tickets needed! 🆒🎟️ While it’s not huge in size, it’s packed with fascinating exhibits focused on local marine life—many of which you won’t see in other bigger aquariums! 🐠🌊🧐 The most amazing part was seeing live California red abalone and white abalone 🐚✨—some of which have been in captivity for over 30 years! The white abalone is the most endangered species of abalone in California, nearly extinct in the wild, making them incredibly rare. There’s even a dedicated staff member who cleans algae off their shells every single day! 👩🔬💚 Don’t miss the abalone feeding sessions held daily at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM! Did you know abalone only need one small piece of kelp per day? Overfeeding can actually harm them! 🥬⏱️🚫 It’s a unique, educational, and wonderfully quirky spot perfect for families, marine lovers, and anyone curious about SoCal’s underwater world! 👨👩👧👦🌍❤️ #Abalone #MarineWonder #LosAngeles #LongBeach #SeashellSpecimens #FreeAquarium #LocalMarineLife #EcoEducation #FamilyFriendly #HiddenGemLA #SeaConservation #CaliforniaCoast #OceanLovers
