Los Angeles BBQ restruant guide
① Yazawa Japanese BBQ Located in Beverly Hills, this is my favorite among those mentioned! There are three set menu options available, priced at $120/160/180 per person. The difference between the latter two is an additional piece of tenderloin wagyu. For women, I recommend the $120 option, while men might opt for the $160/180. The overall dining experience doesn't feel like you're just eating meat, as it's interspersed with special appetizers, stone pot rice, curry rice, and cold noodles. ② Manpuku Japanese BBQ This place has four branches, and you can search for the one closest to you. The set menus are priced at $69/89 per person, and there's also an option to order a la carte. The online reviews are quite good, but my personal experience is that after dining at Yazawa, eating here feels like a significant step down, both in terms of presentation and taste, with Yazawa being slightly superior. However, this place wins on price. ③ Yakiya Located in the Hacienda Heights Chinese community, this is considered quite tasty for a set-menu yakiniku place, priced at $128 per person. The specialty dishes, including the bone marrow stone pot rice, are well-received, and the quality of the meat is also at a certain standard. A branch has also opened in Pasadena this year. ④ Niku X Located downtown, it boasts the best ambiance among those listed, making it a great choice for hosting guests or celebrating special occasions. The price point is a bit higher, with set menus at $150/230 per person, or you can choose to order a la carte. However, I recommend the set menu as it offers a diverse range of ingredients. It's quite upscale, featuring caviar, king salmon, beef tongue, A5 wagyu, and foie gras bread. It's a restaurant you'd want to revisit and bring friends to. #Yazawa Japanese BBQ#Manpuku Japanese BBQ Los Angeles#Yakiya#NIKU X#Los Angeles
