Los Angeles Café: Damo

🍵 This place is located on 8th Street in Koreatown. It was super popular when it first opened, and in Korean women’s social circles, they say the barista was quite cute, haha. He’s somewhat famous on Instagram and considered an influencer. However, after visiting a few times in a row, I didn’t see him. I guess he doesn’t work here anymore. 🍵 Personally, I think this place is just average. They sell coffee for $7-8, but it’s not just about grabbing a coffee to go—I care about the atmosphere of the space where I enjoy my coffee. 🍵 For me to feel that an $8+ coffee is worth it, the vibe has to be right. But this place is actually quite cramped, with very few seats. The entrance to order coffee feels like walking through a hallway, passing by every seated customer, which makes for some awkward eye contact. 🍵 They do have a wide variety of drinks, similar to other Koreatown cafes. Their drinks are mostly cream-top coffee, and perhaps the tea flavor is stronger here compared to other coffee shops. 🍵 The reason it might attract customers is because they offer traditional Korean desserts like Da Gwa. These are traditional Korean sweet snacks usually paired with tea, like rice cake with fruit. Pairing them with coffee is indeed a unique experience. #Koreatown #LifeInLA #LAFood #KoreanDesserts #HonestReview
