Los Angeles Cuisine | New Chinese Fusion in Chinatown

📍 **Firstborn** Today, I joined a friend for the friends and family night at this Chinese fusion restaurant. I heard that the chef here has experience at SF’s Michelin-starred Benu. No wonder the plating is so exquisite—it’s like casual Chinese fine dining. I pretty much tried all the recommended dishes tonight, and here are the highlights: 1️⃣ **Oxtail Braised Sauce:** The oxtail is tender and cooked to perfection. Surprisingly, it has a braised sauce flavor, paired with refreshing cucumber and squid. The combination is fresh and not too salty—perfect for a bowl of rice. You’ll clean your plate in seconds! 2️⃣ **Sichuan Fried Chicken:** The spicy and fragrant fried chicken is irresistible. The chicken is juicy inside, successfully combining the crispy exterior and juicy interior of Western-style fried chicken with a spicy Chinese twist. It’s a fusion masterpiece! 3️⃣ **Strawberry Shortcake:** Their desserts are also beautifully presented. While the almond tofu is just okay, the apple and strawberry ones are delicious. The plating is so elegant it feels like you’re at a high-end restaurant. I’m really happy to have such an exquisite Chinese fusion restaurant in DTLA Chinatown. The atmosphere and food are both impressive. The only downside, in my opinion, is that the portions are a bit pricey. But overall, it’s a great spot for trying something new in Los Angeles! #LosAngeles #LosAngelesCuisine
