Los Angeles Food Exploration|Workshop Kitchen & Bar 🍽️✨
Hey foodies! I’m so excited to share this super hidden gem with you all! 🎉 This Californian cuisine spot originally started in Palm Springs and has now opened in LA – and it did not disappoint! 🤩 The restaurant features eight unique eggshell-style booths on both sides (so cool! 🥚), but sadly we didn’t manage to snag one and sat at a center table instead. Since it’s newly opened, they offer two tasting menu options: regular and fully vegan – both are great value with five courses from appetizer to dessert! There are also à la carte bites available. 🥗🍷 First course: Crudo It was dry-aged yellowtail, but since I’m not a fan of raw fish, I swapped it for melon. My partner said the fish was fresh and not fishy at all, paired with a slightly tangy sauce and marinated grapes – very appetizing! The melon was lighter but refreshing. 🐟🍈 Second course: Tomato Salad We added a lobster tail to this! The tomatoes were varied and flavorful – sweet, tangy, with a hint of spice. 🍅🦞 Third course: Halibut This was the star of the night! The fish was incredibly tender – it literally melted in your mouth! Served with morel mushrooms and peppers, creating rich and complex flavors. My partner thought it was the best dish! 🌟🐟 Fourth course: Skirt Steak & Roasted Carrots The steak had a unique smoky taste, juicy and tender, though slightly overcooked for our preference. We also ordered fried king trumpet mushrooms on the side – highly recommended! 🥩🍄 Dessert We tried one from each menu: Strawberry Shortcake (like a creamy puff, perfect for strawberry lovers 🍓) and a Peach Mille-feuille with yuzu-infused cream – so delicious! 🍑 Book through Resy! I highly recommend this place to all food lovers – and don’t forget to request an eggshell booth if you can! 📌 Have you been to Workshop yet?
