Los Angeles French Restaurant Bicyclette
Every month, my friends and I do a dine-out night, and this time we chose Bicyclette. We ate from 9 PM until they closed at 11:15 PM β and almost every dish hit the spot! Even though they made us wait 15 minutes at first, they made up for it with a complimentary glass of champagne per person and kept apologizing. Service was pretty good overall! π₯π Highlights from our meal: Soft Egg in the Shell β Absolutely amazing! The egg was tender, the caviar wasnβt overly salty, and the smoked sturgeon added a beautiful layer of flavor. Loved it! π₯π€ Onion Soup β Incredibly rich and comforting. A small bowl warmed me right up! π§ β€οΈ Baguette with Blueberry Duck Liver PΓ’tΓ© β Sweet, salty, fragrant, and crispyβ¦ I ended up eating two big slices! ππ¦ Mushroom Soup (Seasonal) β As a mushroom lover, this was aromatic, creamy, and delicious! ππ₯£ Escargot β Served in a cute small plate with puff pastry β tasty and easy to share! π Seared Maine Sea Scallop β Beautifully plated and fresh, though I wasnβt blown away by the flavor. Filet Mignon β Gorgeous presentation, incredibly tender beef paired with mushrooms and mashed potatoes β a perfect combo! π₯π French Fries β My boyfriend insisted: βYou canβt go to a French restaurant and not order fries!β But we were so full, we didnβt finish them before they were cleared. ππ π‘ Tip: Bicyclette takes reservations on OpenTable. Since thereβs a $25 cancellation fee if you cancel less than 24 hours ahead, many people cancel their weekend slots a day before. So if youβre like me and decide last-minute to dine on a weekend, try checking the website late Friday β slots often open up! π π Final damage: around $65 per person (before tax & tip) β really great value! πΈπ #LARestaurants #LAFood #LAHiddenGems #LAFrenchFood #FoodShare #Foodie #MyFoodDiary
