Los Angeles Heritage🌟
For Valentine's Day, I wanted something not too heavy, so I booked a reservation at Heritage, a place I've had on my list for a while. Honestly, I didn't have super high expectations, and the meal was pretty average overall. The restaurant feels like a converted house—beautiful on the outside but a bit cramped inside. The prices are decent, though. The tasting menu is only $165 per person and includes nine courses. 🍽️ We ordered one reserve wine pairing and one non-alcoholic pairing. I'd say skip them both—nothing particularly impressive. When the wine pairing was served, the waiter couldn't even figure out how to use the flow controller on the bottle. It poured super slowly and kept stopping halfway. The experience was pretty bad. 🥤 The amuse-bouche was two slices of pickled radish, which felt a bit odd. The first course was caviar with herb ice cream, and I just didn't get it. It felt like a mismatch and seemed to waste the caviar. Plus, starting with ice cream was weird. 🍦 The next few courses of sashimi, fried mushrooms, and fish were pretty good. The main course beef wasn't amazing, but it was worth the price. 🥩 Overall, it's a decent place for the price. If you're looking for a fancy meal, you could come here, but I probably won't be back. 💸 Including drinks, two people spent about $700. 💣 📍 Heritage #AmbianceRestaurant #LosAngelesRestaurants #LosAngelesFoodie #LosAngelesMichelin
