Los Angeles Hiking｜Love-Hate Relationship with Mugu Peak 🩵💙

No wonder so many people recommend this ocean-view trail—the scenery is truly breathtaking! 🏞️💫 📍 Mugu Peak Trail, 3 miles, 1,250 ft elevation gain At first glance, 3 miles seemed so short! Then I saw the elevation… how steep could it be? 😳 Turns out—it’s REALLY steep! Going up was manageable, but coming down was slippery and a bit scary 😟. It’s a loop trail, so you can choose the steeper side to ascend and the gentler side to descend—though you can’t mix the start and end. Hiking shoes are a must, and trekking poles are helpful! Also, mosquitoes are everywhere 🦟—I got over a dozen bites. Better wear long sleeves and pants! You can see small islands far out in the ocean… so magical and dreamy! ✨ And the ocean views on a sunny day?
