Los Angeles Hollywood Hotel Unboxing|Prospect Hollywood 🏨✨
Elegant… but with a touch of disappointment. I chose to stay at Prospect Hollywood after seeing a photo online: Chinese-inspired wallpaper with leopard-print carpet, giving off a luxe, retro, theatrical vibe—totally my style! 🎭💖 I personally love small, design-focused, non-chain luxury hotels. Just to be safe, I booked the Deluxe room (no balcony version) to make sure I’d get that beautifully curated design I was after. But when I opened the door, I felt a bit let down. Our room was decorated in blue tones—quiet and elegant. Every corner and the mini bar were thoughtfully styled, but it still fell a little short of my expectations. 🫤 I mentioned it to the front desk, and they explained that each room has a unique design. Since we checked in late at night, no other rooms were available to switch into. The night staff weren’t very friendly—not the warm welcome I’d heard about—they came off as a bit arrogant. 😒 But the morning and afternoon staff were much more welcoming—exactly the kind of service you’d expect from a boutique hotel. That said, there were still some positives: 🛁 The bathroom was well-designed—separate wet and dry areas, and the tile choices were elegant. 🧴 Toiletries were from Diptyque’s Figuier line—soft, clean, and lovely. 🛏️ The room furnishings felt high-quality, though the bedding was a bit rough. The bed itself was soft and super comfy! ✔️ Overall, it’s a design hotel with potential. The quality is above average, and the courtyard is beautiful—very old-money California. 🌴💫 But if they’re going for the “boutique luxury” label, the evening shift’s customer service and attention to detail need improvement. 📸 If you’re coming for photos, it might be a gamble—each room’s style varies quite a bit.
