Los Angeles Ktown BBQ & Grilled Seafood Recommendation 🦞

Met up with friends for dinner and they picked a grilled seafood spot in Ktown! Quick note – my friend gave me the address with the name "The C" (and in parentheses, Dae Bu Do), meaning it used to be called that. But when we got there, we couldn’t find it! Turns out it changed its name again – it’s now called Burnin Shell! 🚨 Important reminder: now it’s Burnin Shell, used to be The C, also formerly Dae Bu Do – same restaurant! The menu is mostly set courses, with a few à la carte options. We were 5 adults + 3 kids (who aren’t big eaters 😅), so we went with the Master Set. The set included clams, oysters, shrimp, scallops, abalone, squid, baby octopus, mussels, eel, steamed egg, noodles, kimchi soup, cold noodle salad, fried shrimp, scallion pancake, and cheesy corn. We also ordered live octopus on the side – not as flavorful as the ones in Korea, mostly just tasted like sesame oil. Good for experience, but skip if you’re not into that. The clams and oysters were super plump and fresh! 🦪 The abalone was a bit salty, but the eel was surprisingly amazing – so crispy! The kids barely touched the seafood but enjoyed the cooked side dishes. We ended up adding an extra order of clams and noodles – otherwise, it wouldn’t have been enough! Helpful tip: I’m attaching the full menu (give me a like for that 👍). I always like sharing menus so you can check what you want and budget beforehand! Another pro tip: Don’t be scared by the valet parking – it’s only $4! After 10 PM, the valet isn’t even there 😂, so no need to waste time circling the block. Address: 3916 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90010 Hope you follow along for more food adventures! Thanks! 💖 Have you been here before? What’s your favorite Korean seafood spot in LA?
