Los Angeles Nanyang Delights | Rasarumah

A newly opened Malaysian bistro in Los Angeles that made it to the Michelin recommendations this year, located in the heart of the Filipino town. I booked a table a week in advance, and it truly is a bustling, atmosphere-filled Nanyang restaurant. ๐ŸŒŸ Must-try dishes: ๐Ÿฅฉ Almost every table orders the Wagyu Beef Cheek Rendang. It's a Malaysian curry-flavored dish with tender, melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu beef cheek, served with freshly fried roti, pickles, and coconut sauce. The flavors are incredibly rich and satisfying. ๐Ÿ– ๐Ÿ” The skewers come in chicken thigh and pork cheek options, each with its own unique dipping sauce. Both meats are perfectly grilled, juicy, and make for a great appetizer. ๐Ÿ– ๐Ÿฆ The shrimp crackers are served with three different sambal saucesโ€”some spicy, some tangy, but all with a strong shrimp flavor. ๐Ÿค ๐Ÿš Surprisingly, you can enjoy stir-fried kueh here in the US! While it doesn't have the street stall wok aroma from Malaysia, it still looks the part. ๐Ÿ” Rasarumah Average cost: $50-$80 ๐Ÿ”ช Best to book in advance on Resy ๐Ÿ…ฟ๏ธ Street parking is available, and there's also parking in the plaza nearby. #Foodie #LosAngeles #LAFood #NewRestaurantInLA
