Los Angeles Night View Dining Experience Card - La Boucherie 🌃✨

✨ La Boucherie ✨ 📍 900 Wilshire Blvd fl 71, Los Angeles, CA 90017, United States During the Thanksgiving holiday trip to LA, I was torn between the highly recommended 71 Above and La Boucherie. I ended up choosing the latter because 71 Above’s menu seemed more like fusion cuisine. (Edited the photos right after the trip but only remembered to post around Christmas… better late than never! 😂) Let’s talk about the food: 🔹 Purple Ora Salmon Sashimi 💰36 The salmon texture was okay, but I’ve never been a fan of sashimi drenched in sauce. Even though the sauce is house-special, it overpowers the natural flavor of the fish. Not my top pick. 🐟🙅♀️ 🔸 Oysters on the Half-Shell 💰47 The oysters were super fresh and plump—great value for the price! 🦪👍 🔹 Lamb Double Porterhouse, 10oz 💰63 The lamb is recommended! With rosemary, it had no gamey taste. Cooked medium rare—perfectly tender. 🍖🌿 🔸 12oz New York Steak 💰103 Dry-aged for 40 days, the texture was good, but nothing mind-blowing. (Also, why 12oz? Couldn’t finish it!) 🥩😅 🔹 Sides: Pommes Frite 💰14 + Forest Mushrooms 💰19 The biggest surprise was the Pommes Frite—crispy on the outside, soft and layered inside. So good I kept eating even after getting full! The mushrooms were also fresh and flavorful. 🥔🍄❤️ 🔸 Complimentary-looking Bread 💰13 Couldn’t find its name on the menu—only noticed it on the bill! Soft and delicious though. 🥖✨ The 71st-floor night view of DTLA is absolutely breathtaking! 🌆 We went on Thanksgiving Day (23rd) with a 7:30 PM reservation (window seat requested). Maybe because many places were closed for the holiday, we ended up waiting at the bar until 8:30 PM. The atmosphere was pretty loud. Might be better to visit on a non-holiday for a smoother experience. Still, worth trying for the view! Have you been to La Boucherie or 71 Above? Which one’s your favorite?
