Los Angeles Travel Diary | Exploring the City of Angels ✈️🌆

Our nine-day West Coast road trip began and ended in Los Angeles, covering nearly 4,000 kilometers all the way to the US-Canada border and back. On our final day, we returned to LA for a memorable urban finale. We started by hiking to the Hollywood Sign for those classic panoramic views 🏞️, then headed to Griffith Observatory to gaze over the sprawling cityscape by day and twinkling lights by night 🌃. Next, we revisited iconic filming locations from La La Land—stepping back into the movie’s dreamy, romantic atmosphere 🎬💖. Of course, no LA trip is complete without Hollywood Walk of Fame! Strolling along the 3 km stretch felt surreal—seeing handprints and stars of legends like Jackie Chan, Michael Jackson, and contemporary Chinese celebrities was a fun pop-culture immersion ✨. Near the TCL Chinese Theatre, we even spotted the newly opened Mixue Ice Cream & Tea—a sweet taste of home 🍦🇨🇳. The next day was all about cinematic fun at Universal Studios Hollywood, the world’s first Universal theme park 🎢🎥. Opened in 1964, it remains a timeless hub of film magic and thrilling rides. Thanks to a rainy weekday, crowds were light—we practically walked onto attractions with minimal wait! ☔🎡 Our full West Coast route took us north from LA along Highway 1 and 101 through Monterey, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, and Sacramento—a breathtaking journey through coastal cliffs, vibrant cities, and quiet port towns 🚗🌊. Whether you’re here for the movies, the city views, or the theme park thrills, Los Angeles truly lives up to its glittering reputation. Already dreaming of my next visit! ✨ #LosAngeles #TravelUSA #WestCoastRoadTrip #Hollywood #UniversalStudios #GriffithObservatory #WalkOfFame #LATravel #CityOfAngels #ExploreCalifornia
