After almost five years in LA, I finally made it to the famous The Ivy! Verdict: Environment - 100/100, Service - 100/100, Food - just passing! For someone who loves flowers, this place is a dream—flowers everywhere, even in the restrooms! It's a fusion Italian experience in LA! 🌹 🧈 Pre-Dinner Cranberry Scones The cranberry scones were good, but I still prefer the oat scones from nearby Verve. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about! 🦀 The Best Crab Cake What a name! When it arrived, @KarenZhangNK and I were both speechless—it looked like it had been deep-fried to a crisp. The taste was okay, served with a mustard tarter sauce. Main Course: 🦞 My friend ordered the signature Lobster Pasta 🍝 This dish was quite impressive. The Ivy Pink sauce has a distinct rose flavor. If you love floral notes, I highly recommend it. It outshines the sea bass I ordered in both looks and taste. 🍋🐟 I went for the Lemon and Casper flavors, with the option of coconut curry. I thought the latter would be too rich, so I chose the lighter sauce. It turned out to be a pretty standard muscle-building meal, haha 😆 I needed a lot of black pepper to flavor it. The rice, to be honest, seemed like it was boiled in a pan, not steamed in a rice cooker. It was short-grain, very different from the jasmine rice I usually eat.
