Louisville, Kentucky Travel Guide 2.0 🗺️✨
6️⃣ KFC Yum! Center Named after the KFC chain and its parent company Yum! Brands, but it’s not a KFC-themed center 🍗🚫. It’s actually a major sports and event arena 🏀🎤. When there’s no event, you can’t go inside — but it’s still great for a photo op! 📸 After that, head to nearby Waterfront Park for beautiful views of the two bridges. 7️⃣ Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory ⚾ Just like how most Chinese know the “Red Double Happiness” ping pong paddles, nearly every American knows the Louisville Slugger baseball bats — they’re part of the nation’s favorite pastime! ⚠️ Hours: Mon–Sat: 9 AM–5 PM | Sun: 10 AM–4 PM ⚠️ Ticket: $22 (no student discount) ⚠️ Parking: Street parking nearby is cheaper (~$2.5/hour) than public lots. 💡 The souvenir store and the original timber warehouse are free to enter! The store is definitely worth a visit — full of affordable and finely made baseball-themed souvenirs 🛍️🧢. 8️⃣ Kentucky Science Center 🧪🔬 The circular prism at the entrance is eye-catching! A perfect spot for kids — lots of hands-on educational games and cool 3D movies 🎥👧👦. ⚠️ Hours: 9 AM–5 PM (7 days a week) ⚠️ Ticket: Exhibit + 3D movie → $28/person (book online for better options!). 9️⃣ Cathedral of the Assumption ⛪ A photogenic church, especially in spring when the trees around it blossom 🌸📸. It was under partial renovation during our visit, but still open. Avoid Sundays due to worship services — no tourists allowed during that time. 🔟 21c Museum Hotel 🎨🏨 You can’t miss the famous David statue out front! This is a unique “gallery-themed” hotel — perfect for art lovers. 1️⃣1️⃣ Thomas Edison House 💡 The house where Edison lived while working at a telegraph office in the 1850s. Most items inside are replicas, but still full of history. ⚠️ Ticket: $5 | Student: $3 ⚠️ Parking: Free #TravelUSA #LouisvilleKY #Kentucky #USATrip #FamilyTravel #Museums #Baseball #ScienceMuseum
