Louisville 🏙️✨

#AlreadyWaitingForChristmas First stop on my road trip south: Louisville, the largest city in Kentucky! D1 Arrived around 7 PM and headed straight to Claudia Sanders Dinner House—about 30 minutes from downtown. 🍗 This place has a cool backstory: After Colonel Sanders sold KFC, he wasn’t happy with the new owners cutting costs and simplifying recipes. So he opened this restaurant near his home, naming it after his wife Claudia, to preserve the original KFC flavor. We ordered the Claudia’s Chicken Special (original recipe) and the catfish recommended by our server. 🐟 The atmosphere was lovely—dining area decorated with photos of racehorse champions 🏇, and an exhibition hall upstairs. The food wasn’t mind-blowing, but it was solid and nostalgic! 👍 D2 Spent the day exploring downtown Louisville, known for its bourbon 🥃, horse racing 🐎, and Slugger baseball bats ⚾. Visited the Louisville Slugger Museum, wandered through pretty streets, stopped by liquor stores (even non-drinkers can enjoy bourbon-infused chocolates! 🍫), and browsed cute art shops. Took a walk along the Ohio River—its calm, steady flow felt a bit melancholic, quietly whispering stories of time gone by. 🌊⏳ PS: Louisville is in the Eastern Time Zone. Next stop: Mammoth Cave 🕳️, about 1.5 hours away… and we’ll be switching to Central Time! #Louisville #Kentucky #RoadTrip #FoodHistory #TravelGram
