Louisville 🏙️
This day's journey was quite interesting—starting from Missouri, passing through Illinois, then crossing Indiana, and finally arriving in Kentucky. I traveled through four states to reach Louisville. 😄 New Orleans is famously known in China for its "New Orleans-style roast wings," which is a joke that makes Americans laugh out loud. 🤣 But Kentucky's fame because of KFC is no joke—the headquarters of KFC is indeed in Louisville, Kentucky. In the picture below, you can see the famous KFC Yum! Center, the home stadium of the Louisville Cardinals. 🏀 NCAA stands for the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and whether it's baseball, football, or basketball, NCAA games are second only to professional leagues. Though Louisville doesn't have an NBA team, it boasts a powerful NCAA basketball team—the Louisville Cardinals, who won the NCAA basketball championship in 2017. 🏆 Across from the KFC Yum! Center flows the Ohio River, where a massive cruise ship is docked. Locals jogging and walking their dogs in the riverside garden greeted me warmly and chatted with me. A few tourists strolled around, taking in the sights. 🌳🚢 Louisville is a city with a strong sense of pride. Large banners of hometown celebrities like Lincoln, Muhammad Ali, and Jennifer Lawrence are hung high on buildings, as if constantly inspiring residents to dream big and believe that hard work can lead to a better life. ✨🏙️ Driving around the city, I passed the famous Joe Ley Antique Shop. My cultural wasn't enough to fully appreciate it, so I just gave it a thumbs-up. 👍 I also visited Edison's former residence here. The renowned Cathedral of the Assumption in downtown Louisville stands tall, and in the small square behind it, many unhoused people rest on the grass under the shade of trees. I hope life treats them kindly. 🙏 New York has its famous Fifth Avenue, but Louisville has its spectacular Fourth Live Street, where food and music take center stage. 🎶🍴 Exploring the old town of Louisville, I saw many century-old mansions. 🏛️ My short day in Louisville left a lasting impression on me—it's a place worth exploring in detail. ❤️ #Louisville #59DaysAroundTheUS #SoloTravel #USTravel #RoadTrip #OfCourseRecordIt #SceneryAlongTheWay 🇺🇸
