Lourdes Holy Water đ§ A Pilgrimage Experience in Lourdes
đ It is said that on February 11, 1852, 14-year-old shepherdess Bernadette came to a cave near the riverbank to collect firewood when the Virgin Mary appeared to her suddenly. The Virgin Mary appeared 18 times in the same place thereafter. One day, the Virgin Mary instructed her to dig near the cave, and a spring erupted, which later miraculous healings occurred through its waters. This is why Lourdes has become one of the largest Christian pilgrimage sites. On my flight, there were indeed many elderly people in wheelchairs and priests. đ The bus from the airport to the city center runs once an hour. Taxis need to be called to arrive; the contact information can be found on the wall next to the airport bus stop and online as well. đ The main attraction is the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, with truly beautiful murals outside the church. The holy water is available here, and there is a candlelight procession at 9 PM. ChĂąteau fort - MusĂ©e pyrĂ©nĂ©en is worth a visit for its panoramic view of the entire town. The holy city is so tranquil in the rain. Le Navarre Restaurant I ordered the southern French specialty Le Cassoulet, a casserole made with sausage, chicken, pork, and white beans. Eating a pot of hot stew on a rainy day is so comforting! LâEpsylone Pizza Restaurant The little old lady finished making my pizza in ten minutes, then went out for a smoke đ So delicious, even the pizza crust was good, and the ingredients were so fresh! #TonightâsDinner #France #SouthernFrance #Travel #Pizza #CulturalSights #Europe #Lourdes #RestaurantRecommendations #OffTheBeatenPath
