The rooms, though not large, are well-maintained. ✅ Jetwing Lighthouse Hotel 📍 Location: North of Galle Fort ⭐ Reason to Recommend: A master's work; magnificent sea views ✍️ Another architectural masterpiece by Bawa, it cleverly utilizes the rocky terrain of the ancient city's cape, resembling a lighthouse from afar. At the hotel lobby entrance, the steep cliffs and the surging Indian Ocean 🌊 will come into view. I must say! ✨No one can resist the sea! Looking at the boundless blue ocean and listening to the sound of waves crashing against the rocks, one feels very relaxed, with a refreshed sense of body and mind ✨. ✅ Paradise Road The Villa Bentota 📍 Location: Bentota ⭐ Reason to Recommend: Boutique hotel; close to the beach ✍️ Yet another work by Bawa, the master indeed lives up to his reputation. Before Bawa redesigned and renovated it, this place was just an old dwelling, formerly the residence of Sri Lanka's third president, now a boutique hotel. Located on the southern beach of Bentota, the environment is quieter. Interestingly, the hotel is divided by the railway, with one part being the villa building and garden, but just across the railway tracks is the beach 🏝.
