Lyon | Agastache
🍴 Agastache Restaurant 🔸 Michelin 😋 Bib Gourmand 📝 Serving Lunch and dinner. The lunch set menu is incredibly good value for money, with the option to add a small dish before each course. 🕺 One waiter, who doesn't seem to be French, can speak broken English. The other guy, unfortunately, struggles to communicate with non-French-speaking guests, making English conversation feel like a torture session. 🦞 Appetizers: Two options available. I ordered three small langoustines with mushroom slices. The flavors were rich and layered, and the sauce was quite good. ▫️ The small dish between the appetizer and main course was: cabbage + hazelnuts. The secret to its freshness lies in the hazelnuts. 🐟 For the main course, I chose fish with pickled onion shreds and fresh onion rings. The textures and flavors were vastly different. The fish was delicate and tender (it made me want to go back to Scandinavia—though that might be rude to say). ▫️ The small dish between the main course and dessert was: two dollops of cream? No, they were really delicious. The creaminess and sweetness of the dairy were fully showcased, with a thick layer of hazelnut chocolate crunch underneath. 🍰 For dessert, I chose the one with passion fruit, but seeing the mango dessert at the next table—oh my god, it looked so good. The cross-section was mango mousse + parsley mousse. I added that one too. The waiter who could manage some English asked me: Huh? What did you say? What do you mean? 🍞 Bread: Still not great, just like at other restaurants in Lyon. 🍷 Wine: Not expensive but nothing special. Overall, this place is delicious! A great choice in Lyon! If you're only in Lyon for a day or two, this is a restaurant worth visiting. ✅ #LyonTravel #France #MichelinRestaurantVisit #HiddenGemRestaurant
