Honestly, everything Malacca has, Penang does better. Jonker Street is just a generic tourist strip—I expected charming Dutch-colonial and Peranakan fusion architecture, but it fell short. The only highlight was the Strait Mosque 🕌 (pretty photogenic, I'll admit). Even the Nyonya food here can't compete with Penang's 😂. 📜 Where Zheng He’s fleet docked during his 7 voyages, now home to iconic landmarks: We booked a private day-trip driver (Chinese-speaking, super nice & knowledgeable) through Taobao 🍑. He customized our route and shared cool historical tidbits along the way! 🇲🇾 Recommended Itinerary If you have extra time, just spend it in Penang instead.
