Mammoth Lake & Highway 395 Fall Colors Trip 🍁🏔️

Day 1: Arrived at North Lake—and wow, just wow! The maple leaves were at their absolute peak 🍁, absolutely stunning from the moment we stepped out. It was like walking into a postcard! 😍📸 Day 2: Visited Devils Postpile, Rainbow Fall, and Convict Lake. The shuttle bus situation was… something else 😅—tested our patience for sure. But the moment we laid eyes on those incredible basalt columns, it was totally worth the wait! And Rainbow Fall? It’s called that for a reason—there’s literally a rainbow hanging there almost all the time! 🌈✨ By the time we got to Convict Lake, it was already getting dark, so we didn’t explore much. Still gorgeous under the twilight sky though! 😴⛰️ Day 3: Checked out Lake Crowley and Hot Creek Geological Site. If you don’t have a 4x4, get ready for a roughly 30-minute hike to see those volcanic tuff columns at Crowley. The kids? Totally obsessed with the beach area—no interest in the ancient rock formations 😂👶🏖️. The hot springs had serious Yellowstone vibes, just on a much smaller scale. Nice for a quick look! ♨️👀 #MammothLakes #Highway395 #FallColors #EasternSierra #CaliforniaFall #RoadTripVibes #DevilsPostpile #RainbowFalls #ConvictLake #LakeCrowley #HotCreek #FamilyTravel #NatureWalks #SierraNevada #PeakFall
