Matsumoto Castle ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿƒ ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒฟ Originally named Fukashi Castle, Matsumoto Castle is a typical flatland castle. It features a unique complex of interconnected structures centered around the main keep (tenshu), ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒฟ including the smaller keep, the Tatsumi turret, the Tsukimi turret, and the Watari turret. ๐Ÿฏ โœจ Matsumoto's tenshu is one of the twelve remaining original keeps in Japan and is considered one of the four national treasures of Japanese castles, ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒฟ alongside Himeji Castle, Inuyama Castle, and Hikone Castle. ๐Ÿฐ๐ŸŒŸ Matsumoto Shrine, Shikahoshi Shrine, and Fukashi Shrine: ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒฟ These are some of the more famous shrines in Matsumoto.
