Matsumoto Castle ๐ธ๐ ๐บ๐ฟ Originally named Fukashi Castle, Matsumoto Castle is a typical flatland castle. It features a unique complex of interconnected structures centered around the main keep (tenshu), ๐บ๐ฟ including the smaller keep, the Tatsumi turret, the Tsukimi turret, and the Watari turret. ๐ฏ โจ Matsumoto's tenshu is one of the twelve remaining original keeps in Japan and is considered one of the four national treasures of Japanese castles, ๐บ๐ฟ alongside Himeji Castle, Inuyama Castle, and Hikone Castle. ๐ฐ๐ Matsumoto Shrine, Shikahoshi Shrine, and Fukashi Shrine: ๐บ๐ฟ These are some of the more famous shrines in Matsumoto.
