Medellín: A Brave Adventure in Colombia🇨🇴(2)
Must-See Spots in Medellín ✅ Comuna 13 Escalator Comuna 13 was once the most violent, dangerous, and impoverished neighborhood in this city of sin. Now, it's one of the hottest tourist destinations! The entire district is connected by a series of escalators (one of the longest outdoor public escalators in the world). The buildings are layered and interconnected, with exaggerated graffiti and cyberpunk-style installations everywhere. The narrow, cramped streets are flooded with magical colors, and you can feel the youthful energy and vitality in every corner! 🎨 ✅ San Javier Cable Car Like many South American cities, Medellín has hillside slums. The city is nestled in a valley, with the central plain occupied by the rich and middle class, while the surrounding mountains are covered with sprawling slums. At night, they light up like a field of stars. The hotel I stayed in had a perfect view of this "spectacle"! 🌟 San Javier station is a shared station for the metro🚇 and cable car🚡, just 15 minutes on foot from Comuna 13 (there are also shuttle buses). Taking the cable car to tour the slums is now a popular tourist activity in Medellín. For safety, you can take a full loop on the cable car and get a panoramic view of the slums without having to get off! 🎡 Afterward, return to San Javier without leaving the station and switch to the metro to head to the historic district! 🚇 #Colombia #South America
