Mesmerized by the Beauty of Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs 🌄
Garden of the Gods is a must-visit spot in Colorado Springs! I didn’t plan much beforehand, so I drove straight to the visitor center. The line for tickets was long, with many tour options. Two suited us: A 45-minute trolley tour for $25 (sold out for the next two hours 😅). A 90-minute Jeep tour for $70 (departing in 30 minutes). We chose the Jeep! 🚙💨 But honestly—you don’t need to pay for a tour! You can drive through the park yourself for free, as many times as you want. In fact, after the tour, I dropped my luggage at the hotel and drove back for another loop at dusk! 🌆 The Jeep tour’s first stop was a "castle"—which turned out to be the very hotel I booked for the night! 😂 I didn’t realize it during the tour, but when I returned that evening, I was like, "Wait, I’ve been here already!" 🏰✨ The red rocks at Garden of the Gods are stunning and impressive… though they pale in comparison to Sedona’s landscapes (which I visited later). Still, the scenery is breathtaking! 🪨❤️ The ecosystem here is thriving: Spotted eagle nests on cliffs 🦅 Saw bighorn sheep 🐑 Encountered deer-like animals (maybe muntjacs or gazelles? I’m no expert 🦌) And even a family snacking on chips, apples, ham sandwiches, and tea eggs with a mountain view—they looked so content! 🍎🥪🍃 I also photographed iconic rock formations like Old Woman Rock, Camel Rock, Kissing Rocks, Monkey Rock, and even "Lin Junjie Rock" (yes, it’s a thing! 😆). Overall, a highly satisfying visit! 📸👍 #GardenOfTheGods #ColoradoSprings #TravelDiary #NatureLovers #FreeAttraction #RedRocks #WildlifeWatching 🏞️✨
