My family has been going to Versailles and the bakery for years. Yesterday we stopped in to grab a few pastelitos - two señoritas con crema, two guava, two coco, y un guava y queso. We had an hour drive to the Keys ,and had the pasties in a cooler; no stops. The senoritas were half the size they usually were, with a sliver of filling, they weren’t even flaky, or messy and senoritas are always messy, and the had no flavor. The guava and cheese I had was also horrible, there was a tiny dob of cream cheese, that had no flavor and a thin smear of guava jelly I should say it looked like guava, but also had no flavor. Even the top of the pastry wasn’t glazed like it usually is, it just looked dry. What is going on ? Are there new owners ? Was it a bad day ? Did the baker have a hangover ?The bakery wasn’t crazy busy To be fair we’ve always been very satisfied with the food and pastry’s, but not today. Saturday 5/17/25, today I should’ve went to Publix, and I think their pastries are terrible. We’ll give them one more chance next time we’re in Miami, I’ll even write a positive review, but if they aren’t as good as they used to be…. no mas. BTW I’ve read some reviews about the poor service. The service we had was excellent and fast. IMHO the reason the service could be bad is due to the old men flirting with the staff, it makes the staff think they’re special , lol, so.then they get big heads and think...
Read moreLoyal Customer Banned After One Visit — Service is Unacceptable I am writing this review as a long-time, repeat takeout customer of Versailles Bakery. The quality of the food is ok, and that's why I've kept coming back. However, my recent experience with the dine-in/staying service was shocking. After making my purchase, my parents and I decided to sit down for a short time after we finished our meal, I went to the restroom when my parents were approached by a staff member and were told they had to leave. The interaction felt rude and unwelcoming, and it was incredibly jarring to be asked to leave a public space immediately after giving them my business. If you are only looking for a quick transaction, the food is great. But be warned: do not expect any hospitality or common courtesy. The lack of respect for repeat customers is astounding and has unfortunately cost them my business permanently. They don' t do this to everyone, there's a lot of older folks who get to stay and talk about the same issue, for as long...
Read moreMy wife and I have always enjoyed our visits to Versailles, La Ventanita is an oasis from the stress of where to visit throughout the busy work day. We make Wednesdays the midweek lunch date as our paths cross based on our schedules. For quite sometime we have avoided the bakery due to its lack of service and stale care, but on a day where time was limited we had the luck of being helped by Belkis. She had a warm smile and knew from our faces that we needed to be prompt and swift if we wanted to sit, eat & enjoy our time there. Her quick, friendly and exact sense of timing help made it all the world possible. This helped us change years of never trusting the service at the bakery like the rest of the Versailles brand. We can see a positive change has come to the bakery. Belkis was not only a pleasant person to deal with but she also knew and was aware of the pulse & stress of customers waiting in line like us. We welcome and appreciate the...
