Michelin-Recommended Chinese Dining Experience in Boston
This week, I visited the newly opened Zhi Wei Cafe in Chinatown 🍜. The restaurant was recently listed in the 2025 Boston Michelin Guide, making it one of only two Chinese restaurants to receive this honor (the other being Sumiao Hunan Kitchen) 🌟! In my opinion, if I were to rank Boston’s top Lanzhou noodle restaurants, Zhi Wei would come before Lan Feast in Brookline and Lanner in Cambridge. Besides their Lanzhou noodles, their lamb skewers are especially outstanding 🔥; the hand-grabbed lamb is a bit on the fatty side but still worth trying. The braised lamb noodles and lamb wraps were just average, and the spicy beef rice can be skipped. The average cost per person is around $30–40, and if you have time, be sure to try their signature ice-boiled lamb ❄️🐑! Before leaving, I noticed that Jasmine Milk Tea next door wasn’t too crowded, so I specifically ordered a White Orchid Oolong Milk Tea 🍵. It had a rich tea and milk aroma—though it would have been even better as a hot drink in this weather! #BostonLife #BostonFood #FoodExploration #BostonMichelin #BostonLanzhouNoodles #IceBoiledLamb
