Michelin restaurant
A foodie will definitely book the restaurants they want to try when planning a trip 🤭 🌟La Colombe We couldn't get a dinner reservation, only lunch was available. The ingredients and flavors were excellent, and the dining experience was top-notch. Each dish was meticulously prepared. I caught a glimpse of their workshop— they really put in a lot of effort. It was on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list from 2022 to 2024. Highly recommended. Location: Cape Town 👉Next, we headed to the wine region of Franschhoek in Cape Town to take a break. We had been to national parks and done a lot of hiking and beach activities before. The hotel we stayed at was the Franschhoek Manor Luxury Boutique Guesthouse (also highly recommended, convenient location, great service, and the room even had its own pool). 🌟Babylonstoren This is a huge farm and winery with a variety of DIY products from their own farm, which make great gifts. The lunch was delicious. We originally planned to do some wine tasting, but the 35-degree heat just sapped our energy and made us feel like crying from the heat. We ended up just having an ice cream and heading back. (We ordered a glass of their wine, which was just okay, and the waiter even made a mistake on the bill. So, it's a good idea to check your bill after the meal.) 🌟Chef's Warehouse)It's an Asian fusion restaurant that we walked to. It was indeed very Asian fusion. Seeing the Lao Gan Ma peanut butter on the fried dumplings felt so familiar and comforting. We ordered all the appetizers and a bottle of red wine. Since we weren't very hungry, we didn't order a main course. The lamb dumplings were really good. Friends with Chinese taste buds might want to consider this place. 🌟Graff Restaurant and Winery We had a small lunch here. It had a very French vibe and the seasoning was exquisite. The wine tasting was amazing. We chose the 5-glass Iconic Tasting. We enjoyed it so much that we didn't want to leave. My friend had to practically drag me out of there. If I had another day, I would have spent the whole day here. 🌟JAN JAN HENDRIK is a Michelin-starred chef who has three restaurants in total. We went to JAN Franschhoek at La Motte, a seasonal restaurant, so be sure to check the dates when making a reservation. The dining experience was very ceremonial. We had a large table with 18 people, and I was one of the only two Asians there, but everyone was very friendly and we had a great time chatting. The food was fantastic. My favorite dish was the chicken pie. As a takeaway gift, I received a book by JAN. (After checking, I might be the first blogger on Xiaohongshu to share about this La Motte location😉) #SouthAfrica #prettyfood #Michelin #winery #exploringthescene #eatinganddrinking
