Michelin-Starred Korean BBQ in Los Angeles! šāØ
We stumbled upon this amazing BBQ spot and only later found out itās Michelin-recommended! The prices are on the higher side for Korean BBQ, but the quality of the meat and flavor make it totally worth it šÆ. We visited their Beverly Hills-adjacent location: š 5115 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036 šÆ Banchan (side dishes) galore! There were over a dozen different kinds, all refillable and super authentic. They also served steamed egg and salad on the house. As someone who loves Korean food, I was in heavenāthis alone made me choose this restaurant! š š What we ordered: Sundubu Jjigae (soft tofu stew) Degunshim (Australian Wagyu) Seafood Combo The portions were generousāfor two people, two meats plus a stew or main dish is plenty! š The tofu stew was the BEST Iāve ever had at a Korean restaurantāI had three bowls and still wanted more! š² š The Wagyu was incredibly tenderāthe closest to Japanese A5 Iāve tried in the U.S. Even though it's Australian Wagyu, the marbling was perfect and not overly greasy. I can only imagine how amazing the American or Japanese A5 would be! š„© š Seafood Combo included lobster, shrimp, and scallopāall fresh and without any fishy taste š¦š¤ š The BBQ sauces were so authentic, especially the sweet & spicy oneāabsolutely loved it! ā¤ļø š° Total for two: around $140 (about $70 per person) We went for lunch and waited about 10ā15 minutes. For dinner, itās better to go early or make a reservation! ā³ Though itās a bit pricier, we left fully satisfiedāitās worth every penny! š„° If youāre in LA and craving Korean BBQ, this is a fantastic choiceāway better than waiting two hours at Kang Ho-dong Baekjeong! š #LAFood #MichelinBBQ #KoreanBBQ #Wagyu #LAEats #FoodieFind #LAFoodGuide
