🍂 Michigan Autumn Getaways: Scenery That Rivals Northern Michigan!

Autumn is probably Michigan’s most beautiful season—every year around this time, everyone heads out to enjoy the fall foliage . While Northern Michigan is always the top choice, its long distance means after 1-2 trips, many people don’t feel like driving all that way again 🚗. Today, I’m rounding up some nearby spots that hold their own against Northern Michigan. With the weekend approaching, save this guide ASAP! 😉 📍 Fitzgerald Park This hidden gem in Lansing is my go-to spot every autumn! It offers diverse scenery: besides a stunning wooded trail lined with fall leaves 🍁, there’s a dam, rolling hills, and a small train track that’s perfect for photos 🚞. Basically, it packs all the best autumn views into one place! 📍 Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park Friends who’ve visited Grand Rapids are probably familiar with this spot. Unlike the wild, untamed autumn foliage elsewhere 🍂, the fall here feels like a meticulously crafted Japanese garden. You’ll find rare Japanese red maple leaves, beautiful lake views, cute autumn pumpkin decorations 🎃, and a variety of art sculptures 🗿.
