Michigan Top 1 Chinese food Everyday
It Lives Up to the Hype! A Fantastic Chinese Spot in East Lansing I’d heard so much about this place—and it truly didn’t disappoint! 🎊🥰 Address: 1375 E Grand River Ave, East Lansing, MI 48823 Phone: 517-337-1882 Total cost for 6 people: $233.92 ⭐️ 5-Star Must-Oders (Absolute Favorites!) Grilled Live Fish 🐟: I’ve never seen a restaurant in eastern Michigan with a fish tank where you pick live fish to cook—this was a total shock (maybe I just haven’t explored enough!). Back in LA, only a few Chinese spots did this, so walking in and seeing the tank blew my mind. And the taste? Next-level tender! The grilled skin has a slight crisp, while the flesh is so juicy it falls apart easily—nothing like frozen fish. Hands down the star of the meal. Sichuan-Spiced Fatty Beef 🥩: Incredibly tender, with a bold, fragrant Sichuan pepper flavor that’s rich but not overwhelming. Unlike some Chinese restaurants where dishes are soggy or dripping with excess sauce, this one is clean and focused—every bite tastes exactly like it should, no messy aftertaste. Perfect with a bowl of rice! Three-Cup Chicken 🍗: The texture is spot-on—tender but with a nice chew, never dry. It tastes authentic, like something you’d get at a family-style Chinese restaurant back home. The three-cup sauce (soy, rice wine, sesame oil) coats the chicken perfectly, with a hint of basil that makes it feel nostalgic. ✨ 4-Star Recommendations (Great, with a Small Catch) These two dishes are tasty, especially if you love bold flavors—just note the portion of meat vs. veggies: Pork Intestines 🐖: Chewy and well-seasoned, with no unpleasant smell (a big win for intestines!). The only downside? There’s more veggies (like green peppers and onions) than actual intestines. I hope the owner adds a little more meat next time! Bullfrog 🐸: Firm and chewy, with a spicy kick that’s satisfying. It has the same issue as the intestines—veggies outnumber the bullfrog meat. I don’t usually order these dishes, so my friends (who are bigger fans) said it’s still better than most Chinese spots around—take their word for it if you’re a bullfrog lover! #MichiganFoodReview #MichiganWeekend #MichiganLife #UniversityOfMichigan #UniversityOfMichiganAnnArbor #MichiganFood #MichiganMSU #MichiganNearby #MichiganStateUniversity
