Mima’s Cuban Kitchen in Louisville | A Must-Try! 🍽️🇨🇺
While in Louisville, there’s more to do than just watching horse races 🐎, sipping bourbon 🥃, or cheering on Wang Shuang at Racing Louisville FC ⚽ — you’ve also got to eat! Mima’s is a Cuban restaurant highly recommended by locals, and it did not disappoint! From the exterior to the interior, the vibe instantly transports you to 1950s Havana. ✨ ❤️ Camarones al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimp) Couldn’t pronounce it… but who cares when it tastes this good?! 😍 Garlic, lime, and butter come together for a tender, savory delight. A must-order! ❤️ Pescado Crujiente (Crispy Fish) Thick fish fillet, crispy outside and juicy inside 🐟, served with fresh salsa and avocado salad. Perfectly executed — don’t miss it! ❤️ Mojito Their mojitos are both authentic and Insta-worthy 📸! We tried the piña colada version — topped with coconut shreds and sugarcane. Max Caribbean vibes 🍹🌴. ✅ Arroz Imperial (Baked Imperial Rice) A classic Cuban baked rice dish with roasted chicken 🍗, cheese, and sweet peppers. The chicken was juicy though slightly dry, but paired well with avocado sauce. Worth a try! ✅ Cuban Flan Served with piña colada ice cream — rich caramel flavor, though a bit heavy after a full meal 🍮. Almost wish we’d tried the chocolate cigar instead! ✅ Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 📍 La Bodeguita de Mima, Louisville, KY (Featured in Eater Louisville’s Must-Try List!) 💲 Around $50 per person (including drinks) More Louisville & Indianapolis food guides coming soon!
