Minneapolis - Niagara Cave π
Niagara Cave, a hidden gem in Minnesota, is a fascinating underground cave located near the border of MN and IA. It's about a 2 hour and 35 minute drive from Minneapolis. ππ¨ In the middle of a cornfield, you'd never guess there's an underground cave! Legend has it that it was discovered by a farmer after three little pigs wandered off. π Now, it's a popular tourist spot suitable for both kids and adults. π· The underground temperature is quite cold, even if it's 30 degrees outside. The temperature down there is in the single digits, so dress warmly! π¨οΈ πThere are many fossils to touch and even glowing rocks. The entire tour involves climbing stairs, with a total of 550 steps. π§ββοΈ The ticket costs $20.95 and includes a 1-hour guided tour with detailed explanations. Since it had rained the two days before my visit, parts of the cave were flooded and inaccessible. The tour operators kindly offered a 50% discount, which was really considerate. I suggest checking the weather forecast before you go. βοΈ π After the tour, you can buy minerals and gemstones at the site, or play mini-golf, which is a lot of fun for kids. π± #USA #Minnesota #Minneapolis π
